LEGALIZATION OF COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTS
“VISTO” of COMMERCIAL INVOICES, PRICE LISTS, PACKING LISTS, ETC.:
When a “Visto” is requested, it is will only state the fact that the Document has been “seen” by this Consulate. It is NOT a legalization of the document. A “Visto” will be affixed to the document presented whether it is a photocopy of an original paper or of a notarized document.
A “Visto” can be requested for these documents.
It may be notarized. The fee is $ 200.00 paid through Money Order or Cashier's Check only- payable to the Argentine Consulate.
Please include a copy of Picture ID and prepaid postage with tracking number to return the document/s.
CERTIFICATE OF REFURBISHMENT/REACONDITOINING or FREE SALE CERTIFICATE, ETC.:
To Legalize these documents, the Signature of the Notary must have the Authentication of the County Clerk or the Secretary of State. Please note that documents that have the Apostille affixed cannot be legalized by the Consulate. Therefore, when referring your request to the Office of the Secretary of State please clearly indicate that you need an “authentication” and not an Apostille.
The fee to legalize each document is $ 200.00 paid through Money Order or Cashier's Check payable to the Argentine Consulate.

CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN FROM USA:
Signature and Seal in the original of the Chamber of Commerce that states the goods have originated in the U.S.
The Signature Sample of the Chamber of Commerce must have been previously registered at this Consulate. To include a new signature in our files, please request our Signature Registry Form. Certificate of Origin must be dated.
The fee to legalize each document is $ 200.00 Money Order or Cashier's Check only - payable to the Argentine Consulate.
Please include a copy of Picture ID and prepaid postage with tracking number to return the document/s.
CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN NOT FROM USA:
The certificate of origin must be originated in the country where the products are coming from, (e.g.: if the goods are from Japan, the Certificate of Origin has to be from Japan, be it original or a copy).
The non-USA issued Certificate of Origin must have be duly Notarized, detailing the importer in Argentina, the exporter from the USA, date and the number of the invoice of the sale of goods to Argentina and the quantity of merchandise sold to Argentina.
It must also be signed by an authorized person from the company or exporter from US, and it must further be notarized both by a local notary in addition to the authentication of the County Clerk or Secretary of State Office.
Please note that the company that buys the product from the foreign country has to be the same as indicated on the reverse of the certificate in the Sworn Declaration.
A copy of the invoice from the foreign country to the US company is required, and the Consulate will issue a “Visto” on the invoice, we also need to see the invoice from the Us in Argentina.
The cost of the Certificate of Origin is of $200.00 the cost to do a “Visto” on the Invoice is of $200.00 per invoice.
For all of the above, please note the current turnaround time is 5 to 7 business days.
Expedited fee (24 and 48 hours) of $40.00 extra per document is available.
