Argentine Night at the 29th Chicago Latino Film Festival

The 29th Chicago Latino Film Festival, organized by International Latino Cultural Center (ILCC), will take place from April 11th to April 25th, 2013. The ILCC is a pan-Latino, nonprofit, multidisciplinary arts organization dedicated to developing, promoting and increasing awareness of Latino cultures among Latinos and other communities by presenting a wide variety of art forms and education including film, music, dance, visual arts, comedy and theater.

In 1985, the Chicago Latino Film Festival began with 14 films projected onto a concrete wall for 500 viewers. Since then, it has become one of the most important festivals of Latin-American cinema in Chicago and the U.S. In 2012 more than 120 films from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay and Peru were projected in the 28th edition of the Chicago Latino Film Festival.
