Argentina has an outstanding community of citizens in Chicago and the Midwest.

Likewise, our country has an important network of economic and cultural interests in this region.

Our exports exceed 400 million dollars and many local companies have significant investments in our country.

On the other hand, our culture enjoys a good receptivity among the inhabitants of this region.

At the beginning of February of this year, Atilio Berardi Hueda took over as the new Consul General of Argentina in Chicago.

Deputy Consul Marcelo Boffi was also incorporated to the Consulate as head of the Commercial Section.

With regard to the Consular Section, it will continue to be in charge of the Deputy Consul Dana Borojovich.

In addition to representing our country and assisting our fellow citizens, the Consulate is open to collaborate strongly with all those who want to work to fostering our bilateral relations.

In this sense, it is our intention to make the Consulate a meeting point for our community and provide a service that lives up to its demand.

We also pretend to promote our culture, in all its expressions, through the several festivals held in the region.

As for the economic task, our emphasis will be on strengthening the promotion of Argentine exports to this market and attract investment from local businesses to our country.
