The Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Chicago & Wines of Argentina celebrated the third edition of the Malbec World Day. They invited personalities of the Midwest wine industry such as Wine Directors of renowned hotels and restaurants, Wine Importers, Distributors, Journalists, Chefs and Sommeliers
The tasting was inaugurated by Consul General who pronounced few words. Michael McAvena, sommelier graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago and who has pursued a long career in the food industry, presented the wines and dishes that were tasted during the night. The master class was in charge of Marcelo Pelleriti, a prestigious Argentine winemaker, who emphasized the qualities of Malbec and the optimal conditions of our Argentina's soil for the cultivation of this strain in particular.
